The development of transport infrastructure, modernization of technical base of road and other modes of transport are key aspects of socio-economic policy, implemented consistently by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, held on January 12, the head of state reiterated the importance of the work, carried out in this direction, outlining the organization of well co-ordinated public transport, qualitative passenger service among the priority tasks for the near-term outlook. It is well-known that in the period of preparation for the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, held last fall in Ashgabat, there were purchased hundreds of modern buses of world-known brands – “Hyundai” (Republic of Korea), “Yutong” (People’s Republic of China), “Toyota” (Japan). Running quality and convenience of new vehicles have already been appreciated by drivers, residents and guests of the white-marble Turkmen capital. Currently, the Road Transport Ministry’s fleet renewal is under way. So, Ashgabat Passenger-Motor Production Association received 15 “Yutong ZK 6129H” buses. Ten of them will carry out the long distance passenger transportations, particularly on the Ashgabat- Khazars-Ashgabat route. Five more are intended for the rendering of road transport services to tourists, visiting the country. In addition, 7 “Hyundai Uniwerse Luxury” buses and 2 “Yutong ZK 6129H” buses are transmitted to the regions. In particular, in Balkan velayat, they will be engaged on long-distance Balkanabat–Turkmenbashi–Balkanabat, Turkmenbashi–Garabogaz–Turkmenbashi routes, as well as in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone. The buses, arrived in Lebap velayat, will make the Turkmenabat–Kerki–Turkmenabat and Kerki–Turkmenabat–Kerki routes. In turn, Mary Passenger Transport Enterprise plans to use two buses on the Mary–Serhetabat–Mary route and one more – for the carriage of passengers on the Mary–Turkmenabat–Mary route. It should be noted that the “Hyundai Uniwerse Luxury” and “Yutong ZK 6129H” buses from standard-bearers of the Korean and Chinese auto industry are widespread all over the world. Experts note their reliability, capacity, operation economy, high safety level, ride comfort, harmonious design. They are optimally suitable for the climatic conditions of Turkmenistan. The configuration of these models includes all the things needed, that allows to turn a few hours of riding to the comfortable journey: air-conditioning system, heating and lighting of a cabin, upholstered seats with high backs which are adjustable according to the individual wishes of each passenger, wide doors etc. It is not also unimportant that according to environmental criteria, the new comfortable vehicles of popular world brands also meet international standards.
