Turkmen National team wins seven medals in the World Kurash Championship

Turkmenistan wrestlers won seven medals at the World Kurash Championship in Istanbul. Our team has brought the strongest wrestlers who are the prize-winners of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games that were held in Ashgabat in September. Totally, there are 270 sportsmen from 35 countries participating in the competitions that will last until December 4. Shamuhammet Kurbanov competing in the weight category up to 60 kg won silver medal. Besides, the collection of medals of our National team was supplemented with six bronze medals. Marat Orazov and Erkin Omurzakov in 66 kg weight category and Begench Baltayev in 73 kg weight category are the bronze medallists in men’s competitions. Gulshat Nasyrova (up to 63 kg weight category), Mehriban Kurbanova (57 kg) and Zarina Saparova (48 kg) are the bronze winners on women contests.
