The Public Organizations Center has hosted a festivity to mark International Women’s Day. An award ceremony took place during the event for mothers of eight and more children, who were given the honorary title ‘Ene Mähri’ in accordance with a Presidential Decree. Today, mothers of many children were also presented keys to comfortable flats.

The capital’s Yyldyz Hotel has hosted the fifth Steering Committee meeting of the EU funded Project “Support for Further Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development in Turkmenistan (Phase III) –SARD III”.

A festive concert featuring performing artists was organized at the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan on the eve of International Women’s Day. This spring holiday is observed in our country in accordance with national traditions showing deep reverence of the Turkmen people towards women.

President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held the session of the State Security Council. The agenda included the outcomes of work of military and law enforcement agencies for two months of 2019 as well as priority objectives for further improvement of activity of security forces.

By the Resolution of President, Supreme Commander of Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Batyr Atdayev, the Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan and Mergen Gurdov, the Chairman of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan were reprimanded for unsatisfactory service of the duties and deficiencies admitted in work.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held working session with the participation of the Speaker of the Mejlis and Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers where issues related to the industrialization of the country, successful implementation of the Programme of social and economic development of Turkmenistan in 2019 – 2025 have been reviewed, solution of these issues and perspective plans has been outlined.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Turkmenistan Mamuka Murjikneli who presented his credentials to the Head of the State.

Another phase of election campaign – the registration of the candidates to the deputies of the Mejlis, members of the People’s Council and Gengeshys instead of those who resigned, has been completed on March 5. The first two phases – the nomination and registration, which were held in strict compliance with existing legislation of the country and international standards, became to base for organization of true democratic elections.
