As part of the festivities to mark the arrival of Nowruz, performing artists from Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) have given a concert at the border crossing, Howdan-Bajgiran, which has linked the two fraternal nations since ancient times. A joint exhibition fair of arts and crafts was also arranged.

In accordance with the Resolution of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Minister of Internal Affairs Isgender Mulikov was severely reprimanded for the improper execution of the official duties and the serious shortcomings in work with the final warning.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a flight around the capital, having inspected the situation at big construction sites of Ashgabat and agricultural fields of Ahal Velayat making special emphasis on further improvement of social sphere.

Session of the Central Committee for elections and referendums in Turkmenistan on summing up of the results of the elections of the Mejlis deputies, members of the People’s councils and genegeshys in certain electoral districts instead of resigned took place. Members of the Central Committee, representatives of working groups made under the Committee, national observers and mass media took part in the session.

Having listened to the report on the preparation to the X International Gas Congress of Turkmenistan at video conference working session on March 20, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that this traditional specialized forum is aimed at further development of beneficial cooperation with all interested foreign partners in fuel and energy sector.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held video conference session with the participation of the Speaker of the Mejlis, some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers and hyakims of velayats and Ashgabat.

During video conference session on April 1, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov informed the President about the preparation to the state visit of President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in to our country.

Delegation of Turkmenistan will take part in the session of Inter-Parliamentary Union as well as in the Forum of Women Parliamentarians in the State of Qatar on April 6 – 10.

On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of Mejlis G. Mammedova received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Turkmenistan, Nikolay Yankov.

In accordance with the Action Plan on the implementation of the Concept of Turkmenistan’s Presidency over the CIS in 2019, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution, authorizing the Office of the President of Turkmenistan jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to organize the session of the Council of Heads of States of the CIS in Ashgabat on October 11, 2019 at the high level.
