President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a videoconference meeting with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agricultural sector, the heads of several ministries and departments. Following the principles of mercy and humanity as well as on occasion of the 28th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on pardoning 868 convicted citizens.

In order to strengthen the legal foundations of the state policy in the field of environmental protection, identify the key areas of work to prevent climate change and reduce their negative impact, as well as implement international legal instruments, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution, approving the new edition of the National Strategy for climate change.
