A sports infrastructure has been created in Arkadag, Turkmenistan's first "smart" city that promotes healthy lifestyle principles in society.

Today, in accordance with the educational policy, new educational institutions, meeting the latest world standards, are put into operation everywhere in Turkmenistan. The objects of this important sphere, commissioned in the newly opened city of Arkadag, were not an exception in this respect. There have been already built ten pre-school educational institutions in the first phase of construction of the city, the work of which will be aimed at educating a generation with a broad outlook.

Cultural and humanitarian sphere plays an important role in the social and political life of Arkadag, the first smart city in Turkmenistan. A number of modern cultural facilities have been built in the city.

Today, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, large-scale celebrations began in honour of the opening of the country's first «smart» city of Arkadag.

In order to widely popularize in the future the potential of the city of Arkadag, built on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, based on the concept of «smart city» using advanced new generation technologies and having all the conditions for holding various thematic events, inspiring creative workers to create new works and organizing in the country the Weeks of Culture dedicated to the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, as well as Magtymguly's Poetry as a holiday of Turkmen culture, art and literature The President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution, according to which it was ordered to hold the Week of Culture on the 22nd to 27th of June, 2024 in the city of Arkadag, located on the territory of the Ahal velayat, as well as the Organizing Committee for the Week of Culture was created and its composition was approved.

By order of the President of Turkmenistan, members of the delegation of our country headed by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Honourary Elder of Turkmenistan, Haji Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were allowed to travel to Mecca (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) to perform the Hajj rites on the 29th to 30th of June, 2023.

Today, the Turkmen capital hosts the final events of the Culture Week, dedicated to the Day of Culture and Art Workers, as well as poetry of Magtymguly Fraghi, widely celebrated in our country.

Events of the past week have become the next visible evidence of success of economic strategy carried out under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for diversification of industrial, resource, labour, spiritual and intellectual potential of our fatherland with a view of its accelerated inclusion in the level of developed countries of the world.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of velayats to consider issues related to development of the country’s regions, as well as the dynamics of agricultural campaigns.

The Turkmen capital continues to live in the dynamic rhythm of a large-scale cultural festival timed to coincide with the Day of Cultural and Art Workers, as well as the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi.
