Turkmen capital hosted opening ceremony of the 55th session of the Asian Pacific Broadcasting Union General Assembly (ABU).

Upon completion of the meeting with the heads of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), the ABU Certificate, award and memorial sign were presented to the President of Turkmenistan for his contribution to the development of mass media in the region.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Secretary General of the Asian Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Javad Mottaghi, Acting President of the ABU, General Director of Indian State TV Channel Doordarshan Supriya Sahu and Vice-president of the ABU, President of Japanese Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) Ryoichi Ueda.

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held offsite session of the State Security Council where outcomes of work of military and law enforcement agencies for nine months of 2018 have been summed up.

Cultural programme for the delegates of the forum has been organized under the 55th session of the Asian Pacific Broadcasting Union general Assembly.

International conference HEAVY CASPIAN: TURKMENISTAN, where topical issues of development of the world market of transport and logistic services was discussed, has been completed in Avaza National tourist zone.

The solemn ceremony of opening the School Cultural and Sports Festival of the Caspian States took place in the Avaza National tourism zone.
