Important document – the Programme of country development for the next term is to be adopted after discussion at the session of the Council of the elders.

Spokespeople at the forum of the Council of Elders voiced an offer on behalf of the elders of the country for outstanding services and colossal activities for further multiplying the authority of our independent neutral homeland in the international arena, to award President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the highest state award - the title of Hero of Turkmenistan.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov speaking at the Council of Elders noted, that with gaining independence, natural gas, potable water, electricity and salt were provided free of charge to the population of the country. The main goal of granting unprecedented privileges in those years was to create favorable conditions against the background of a difficult economic situation in the world, the adaptation of citizens to the conditions of a market economy.

In his speech at the Council of Elders, the President of Turkmenistan noted the high level of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games held in Ashgabat, which became an important event of international significance this year.

During the speech at the forum of the Council of Elders, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov summed up the results of the economic development and determined the relevant objectives for the near future.

Speaking at the session of the Council of the Elders that opened in Ak Bugday etrap, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan being a peaceful state seeks for building the relations with all countries of the world based on mutual respect steadily pursuing the policy of positive neutrality.

Regular session of the Council of the Elders of Turkmenistan chaired by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has started in White Yurta building in Ak Bugday etrap, Ahal Velayat.

I congratulate you with the Day of the Naval Forces of Turkmenistan, the message by the head of state states. We highly appreciate the service by naval personnel who secure the inviolability of our maritime boundaries and work hard to turn the Caspian into the sea of friendship and accord.

By the Resolution by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Hudayberdiyev, Batyr Hudayberenovich has been appointed Deputy Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan.

The opening ceremony of «Nowruz ýaýlasynyň ak öýi» facility was held in Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal Velayat with participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The road from Ashgabat to the place of event was lined up with yurts where scenes of rural life were played and everything spoke of the coming celebration. Celebration atmosphere was highlighted by national music, numerous people were greeting the Head of the State and other participants of the ceremony.
