The Memorandum of Mutual Understanding on the implementation of the project on the construction of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission lines was signed between the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and Çalyk Holding A.Ş in Ashgabat.

The delegations of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan held a working meeting in Turkmenbashi. The meeting agenda focused on the important areas of cooperation in core industries.

In the administrative center of Vekilbazar etrap, in the atmosphere of great celebration, in the Culture Center, surrounded by white yurts set, there were preparing the festive meal, it was held a ceremony of presenting the deserved award – 1 million US dollars to this etrap, that became the winner of the contest for the country’s best etrap.

The International Exhibition of Industrial Products, Equipment and Modern Technologies, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, started its work in Ashgabat. The specialized exhibition is intended to demonstrate the significant achievements and perspective directions of the national economy along the path of innovative development, as well as best practices and developments of foreign manufacturers interested in long-term mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmen partners.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov who is currently on working visit in Balkan Velayat received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmar Magerram Ogly Mamedyarov who arrived in Turkmenbashy as the Head of representative delegation of his country as well as Vice-President, Investment and Marketing, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Elshad Nasirov.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in Balkan Velayat on a working visit, received Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Çalyk Holding group of companies Ahmet Çalyk.

Turkmenistan is preparing for the elections of Mejlis deputies of the sixth convocation, members of the khalk maslakhaty and Gengeshi, scheduled on March 25. The coming elections will be another step to improve further the multilevel system of genuine sovereignty, based on native national and democratic traditions.

The large-scale integrated programs under implementation in Turkmenistan cause great interest among foreign partners. The Socio-Economic Development Program of the country for 2018-2024 provides for modernizing the country’s production potential, and creating the modern technologies-based economic infrastructure.

In accordance with the Resolution of President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Minister of Defense Berdiev Yaylym Yagmyrovich was severely reprimanded for the negligent performance of his duties and the serious shortcomings in his work.

Steadily following the course of fundamental reforms, Turkmenistan has entered new stage of its history in 2017, which was formulated by the President of the country Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as a period of steadfast development and further successful implementation of large-scale reforms.
