The National exhibition of Turkmenistan that showcased the wide range of goods produced by the leading branches of the national economy of Turkmenistan, including the petrochemical, textile, food, medical industries, the agriculture, construction materials industry, transport and logistics were held in the Uzexpocentre in Tashkent.

Continuing the state visit to Uzbekistan, Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov accompanied by his Uzbek colleague Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Khiva located on the left bank of Amudary River in the south of Khoresm Region.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is currently on the state visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the ceremony of opening of the Turkmen-Uzbek Friendship Centre in the administrative centre of Khoresm region – Urgench.

State visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan by the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, continues. The program of the second day of the Turkmen leader’s visit to Uzbekistan includes the opening ceremony of the Turkmen–Uzbek House of Friendship in the city of Urgench, and a tour around historical and cultural sites in Khiva.

Emphasizing the outcomes of the high-level meeting in Tashkent to the press, the President of Turkmenistan highlighted that condition and perspectives of bilateral relations, issues of regional and international politics has been discussed and key directions of Turkmen – Uzbek cooperation have been outlined during the talks.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov laid the flowers to Magtumguly Fragi Monument while on the state visit in Tashkent.

In the afternoon, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov who is currently on the state visit in Tashkent and his colleague Shavkat Mirziyoyev went to the Monument of Independence and Humanism on Mustakillik Square. This memorial complex includes two sculptural compositions of Independence and Happy Mother, which represent the image of new sovereign state and creative aspirations of Uzbek nation.

Regular session of authorised representatives of Caspian states including the heads and leading specialists of profile ministries and departments of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan started work in Ashgabat.

“Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan demonstrate the similarity of views on the tendencies of the regional and international development. The countries are on the same page on such key issues of the global agenda as the maintenance of peace and stability, countering the threats of international terrorism, extremism, disarmament, the settlement of the situation in Afghanista”, said Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking to the media after the Turkmen-Uzbek agreements signing ceremony.
