Delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the 74th session of the UN Economic and Social Committee for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) held in Bangkok. The agenda of regular session of one of the largest division of the UN unclouded realization of the Goals of Sustainable Development until 2030 in Asian and Pacific region. The report on Social and Economic Progress of Turkmenistan under the Agenda of Sustainable Development was presented at high-level forum. It visually demonstrated national practice of our country in successful realization of macroeconomic policy. Information on this was given on the session of Turkmen Government on May 25.

Vice-premier, Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov informed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the measures for implementation of international initiatives of the Head of the State on sustainable transport.

According to the recommendations of the World Health Organizations, the practice of special SMS messages for improvement of the awareness of the population in health sphere, remote consulting and control of health conditions, dialog between the doctor and patients is widely used in developed countries of the world. According to the instruction of the President, the Ministry of Health Protection and Medical Industry together with relative departments studied the practice of sending of similar messages via Altyn Asyr cellular operator.

Integrated preparation to the grain crops harvest is carried out in Turkmenistan; working plan for its organized conduct has been developed. Information on the readiness of the regions to the beginning of the harvest of winter crops was given at the session of the Government on May 25.

The Programme of the events in June includes the concerts of art masters of Turkmenistan, theatre performances, exhibition and contests, scientific and branch conferences on occasion of the World Children Day, World Environment Protection Day, Day of Science, Day of Art and Culture as well as the Day of Magtumguly Fragi Poetry, opening of school summer holiday season and the World Bicycle Day.

Ministry of Industry takes measures for the provision of the companies building different facilities with necessary construction materials including the production of the State enterprise Turkmendemironumlery. It was informed by Vice-premier K. Durdymyradov at the session of the Government.

During the session of the Government on May 25, Vice-premier G. Myradov informed on the development of the State budget for the next year. . It was informed that priority objectives outlined in the Programme of social and economic development of Turkmenistan in 2018 – 2024 would be taken into account during elaboration of the main financial plan of the country.

In accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the People’s Republic of China, Chinar Rustamova is also appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

In accordance with the Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Djumaev Berdimyrat Ovlyagulyevich is appointed as the Director of the Garabogazkarbamid plant affiliated to the Turkmenhimiya State Concern.
