President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the winners of the Best Youth Works contest timed to the Day of Science.

According to the order of the Government, the farmers have to produce 1,600,000 tons of wheat this year. Harvesting conveyor works all day around without any interruption at the fields of Ahal Velayat, the largest breadbasket of the country. This year, the farmers plan to harvest 450,000 tons of selected wheat from 209,000 hectares of the fields in Baharly, Gyokdepe, Ak Bugday, Kaahka, Tejen, Babadayhan and Sarakhs etraps, which are under such high-productive breeds of wheat as Sahrayi, Bitarap, Akbash, Yoloten 1, Yoloten 3, Miras, Bat’ko, Irishka, Yubileynaya 100 and other.

On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Gulshat Mammedova received credentials from Ambassador Republic of Zambia Shadreck C. Luwita.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular video conference session with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers supervising agricultural sector, hyakims of the velayats and heads of some structures.

On June 9, administration centre of Mary Velayat hosted media forum dedicated to coming International Rally Amul – Hazar 2018 and to cycling track and field races held under its framework. Professors and lectures of universities, representative of regional administrations, department of sports and youth affairs of the region, non-governmental organizations and mass media took part in the work of the forum.

Second session of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan took place on June 9 where number of new laws and regulations have been enacted. Members of the Government, heads of profile ministries and departments and representatives of mass media were invited to participate in the session.

The Centre of Non-governmental organizations hosted the presentation of new book of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Worshiping Mother – Worshiping a Sacred Person”. Information on the outcomes of the development of national economy for January – May of this year was presented at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on June 8. The Vice-premier informed that macroeconomic indices of the period under review indicates stable dynamics in all branches of national economy.
