As part of the Ascent project, the symbol of Asiada–2017 is hoisted up the highest mountains and erected at sightseeing attraction of every province in Turkmenistan.

On the territory of ancient settlement Paryzdepe in the vicinity of Ashgabat, archaeological investigations and restoration activities are proceeding.

The premiere of the “Planet of the Apes” performance, prepared by the Russian State Circus Company, was held with great success at the arena of the Turkmen State Circus.

In Mary in Rukhyet Palace of Mary velayat there was a ceremony honoring the cultural figures, art masters, intellectuals and educational workers, awarded state awards and honorary titles in accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov. According to the Decree of the Head of the State a number of citizens of the country were conferred cash prizes of the President of Turkmenistan.

“At – myrat” movie release on the country’s big screens, dedicated to the Akhalteke horses, is timed to the National holiday of spring. These days, it was projected in the capital cinema center “Ashgabat” and the cinema-concert center “Turkmenistan”, in Mary town – at the State Drama Theater named after Kemine. In the current month, the premiere screening took place on national TV broadcast channels.

The main celebration of international Nowruz day in Turkmenistan will take place on 21 March in the building “Türkmeniň ak öýi” (“the White House of Turkmens”) located in Mary’s administrative center.

Days of Turkmen Culture in the State of Qatar are scheduled for 10-14 March. Among events planned as part of the campaign are the concert of masters of the stage; exhibition of products of decorative and applied arts and items of museum value, as well as of publications covering our country’s achievements in various spheres and the upcoming Asiada–2017 in Ashgabat; meetings of cultural workers of the two countries; and the screening of Turkmen films.

Today, heads of cultural, media and tourism-related institutions held a meeting to discuss the program of priority actions to perform the tasks outlined by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the said branches.

In the capital at the Mukam Palace a festive concert in honour of Day of the national flag of Turkmenistan took place. In celebrations in honour of a sacred symbol of the nation a powerful spiritual message was put, it is of great importance for education of high civilisation and patriotism that found reflexion in the overture of celebratory action - a literary-musical patriotic composition on the basis of video series. On the large screen flies the green banner of the fatherland, major events of the epoch of power and happiness – the many-sided activity of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were reflected.

The Turkmen State Publishing Service is participating in the XXIV Minsk International Book Fair Exhibit that has opened in the Belarusian capital on 8 February.
