We will remember for a long time the opening ceremony of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. It lasted for around three and half hour but seemed to be like magic minutes. The heads of the states, leaders of official delegations, numerous guests, representatives of foreign mass media, everyone were ravished with grandiose show made by thousands of performers.

The Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan hosted a completion ceremony of the next Turkmen restorers’ project, supported on a competitive basis by the US Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation. This year, there were completed restoration works under its auspices on the reconstruction and museumification of unique mosaic panels, discovered several years ago during excavations of the Bronze Age monument of Gonur Depe. Expedition under the supervision of the famous archaeologist, academician Victor Sarianidi handed over these priceless finds to the Museum of Fine Arts, where during three years, it was carried out meticulous work on the preservation of fragile articles of ancient art and reproduction of their original appearance.

Exhibition""The land of white wheat"" has opened in the State museum of the State cultural center of Turkmenistan.

Largest specialized scientific magazine World Archaeology published in United Kingdom placed the picture of Big Gyzgala (known in foreign literature as Kyz Kala) on the front page. This is a monument of mediaeval architecture located in the State Historical and Cultural Reserve “Ancient Merv” and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The representative of the Turkmen circus won the golden award of the 10th International Festival of Circus Art ""Echo of Asia"", which was held from 2nd to 6th July in the capital of Kazakhstan - Astana.

Today, on Cultural and Art Workers Day, the Turkmen capital has hosted a big festive concert, which comes as a final event of the Culture Week. Each day of the Week was eventful and featured spectacular activities, which showcased the achievements and enormous potential of Turkmenistan’s arts. The country’s best performing artists and ensembles represented all national arts.

The fifth day of the Culture Week-2017 was held in Ashgabat. The event ""Milli medeniýetim - döwrüň mukamy, Arkadagly Aşgabat - toýlar mekany!"" Was held in the Mekan Palace by the Ministry of Culture in conjunction with the hakimlik of the capital city. Deputies of the Mejlis, representatives of the public, scientific, educational and cultural institutions, creative intelligentsia and industry workers stressed the importance of steps taken in the country to strengthen the democratic foundations of the state and society, its international authority.

According to the tradition, new stage play of Magtumguly National Music and Drama Theatre is timed to the Day of Cultural and Art Workers instituted on June 27, 2008 and since widely observed in Turkmenistan. This day entered the history of national art as a date of revival of Turkmen opera.

The programme of the fourth day of this creative event was dedicated to the Year of Health and Inspiration as well as to the upcoming V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat in September.

Today in the State Museum of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan the scientific -practical conference devoted to problems of preservation of cultural heritage was held and within its frameworks the presentation of the book «Milli mirasyň hazynasy» («Treasury of national heritage» also took place.
