The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has hosted an International Scientific Conference entitled ‘Heritage of the Silk Road and Present International Relations’, which was devoted to the 23rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality status.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held video conference working session with the participation of some Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of number of ministries and departments. The agenda included priority objectives of further social and economic development of the country, implementation of important projects and reforms as well as other current issues of the state life.

Presidential Advisor on Oil and Gas Affairs Ya. Kakayev reported on the implementation of the project of construction of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India gas pipeline at the video conference session on December 10.

The International Conference entitled ‘The Importance of the Silk Road: Present and Future Development’ has opened in the Yyldyz Hotel.

International exhibition of import substitutive production technologies organized by the Trade and Industrial Chamber of Turkmenistan has started its work in Çandybil shopping centre of the capital. The review is to demonstrate the success and perspective of national market I import substitution sphere as well as advanced practice and innovative development of foreign producer of industrial equipment, which are interested in long-term cooperation with Turkmen partners.

The Congress Centre of Avaza National tourist zone hosted International Conference of the Ministers of Transport of the country members of the Agreement on Transit and Transport Cooperation (Lapis Lazuli Agreement) between Turkmenistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Georgia, the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The delegation of Turkmenistan chaired by Vice-premier, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov made working trip to Brussel where took part in regular European Union – central Asia meeting on the level of the foreign ministers.

Last day of International Conference OGT 2018 was opened by the session dedicated to priority directions and forecasts of development of petrochemical industry as well as to the world trends of market development. Representatives of foreign oil, gas and service companies, big competent organizations, different Government structures, ministries and departments from Russia, USA, Japan, UK, Germany, China, France, UAE, Malaysia and other European, Asian, Middle East and CIS countries as well as national and foreign mass media took part in the forum.
