On July 4, 2023, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), held via videoconference.

Today, an International Conference “Arkadag City – the Beautiful Natural Corner with Environmental Wellbeing” was held here in a hybrid format.

The city of Arkadag hosted an international media forum dedicated to the opening of the country's first «smart» city. The meeting was attended by foreign guests, heads of a number of institutions of Turkmenistan, foreign and Turkmen journalists who took part in the opening ceremony of the city of Arkadag.

Today, a significant, truly historic event has taken place in our country, which will be inscribed in golden letters in the glorious annals of an independent neutral Fatherland, confidently moving along the path of creation, prosperity and progress. 

Residents and guests of the first «smart» city of Arkadag in Turkmenistan will use urban transport that meets the most stringent environmental standards and operates on the basis of digital technologies.

Today, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, large-scale celebrations began in honour of the opening of the country's first «smart» city of Arkadag.

In the era of the revival of a new epoch of the powerful state, all conditions are created for the progressive development of the domestic textile industry, the conscientious and fruitful work of industry workers, including cocoon and silkworm producers.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an extended off-site meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and took part in the groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of the construction of the city of Arkadag.

Today, the capital of Turkmenistan hosted the next International Conference, which brought together leading specialists and experts in the oil and gas sector. The main events were held at the site of the Turkmen International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev.
