A series of events, timed to the World Environment Day, will be held with the participation of representatives of regional and international organizations, heads of ministries and departments of Central Asian countries, specialists in the field of environmental protection, water management, etc.

The first month of the summer promises to be rich in festive and cultural events which start in Ashgabat and regions of Turkmenistan with the first June holiday - International Children's Day. Also within a month Day of Textile Industry Workers, World Environment Day, Day of Science and Day of Workers of Culture and Art will be solemnly celebrated.

At the session of the Central Commission for conduct of election and referenda of Turkmenistan, there were resumed the final results of the Mejlis deputies’ elections in some constituencies, held on May 21, as well as Halk Maslahaty and Gengeshi members in connection with changes in the administrative-territorial structure of the regions. The meeting was attended by members of the Central Election Commission, representatives of the working groups, established at the Central Election Commission, national observers, and mass media.
