Conference hall of Agricultural Complex hosted International scientific and practical conference “Turkmenistan is the Heart of the Great Silk Road and the Place of Ecological Wealth” dedicated to the World Environment Day. It was organized by the State Committee for Natural Protection and Land Resources.

On June 3, Vehicle-free day, the Ecological Monitoring Service of the State Committee for Environment Protection and Land Resources took samples of the air at seven mobile and stationary monitoring units in Ashgabat for analysis of the impact of traffic restriction on the atmosphere. Control samples were taken on the day before, on June 2, which showed the concentration of dust, formaldehyde, phenol and nitrogen dioxide in the air is lower than maximum permissible concentration.

At the instruction of the head of state, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs held a cycling training at the capital’s multifunctional Ashgabat Stadium on 1 June. Representatives of Guinness World Records proclaimed the event the largest cycling awareness-raising event in the world.

At the session of the Government on May 31, Vice-premier P. Agamyradov informed the head of the State on the programme of international conference “Science, Technology and Innovations” in Ashgabat on June 12 – 13.

International scientific and practical conference and series of educational events are timed to International Environment Day on June 5.

Turkmenistan have observed the World Children Day. Upbringing of young compatriots is one of our main objectives, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted. This is the childhood period when fundamental merits, moral landmarks and values, viability and determination of the individual are laid.

The Central Archive under the Cabinet of Ministers has issued the 19th edition of the historical, document-based, scientific methodical journal, Türkmen Arhiwi, published in the Turkmen and Russian languages.
