A groundbreaking ceremony has been held in Charjev etrap, Lebap velayat to formally launch the construction phase for a new 432-MW gas-turbine power plant. The event marked another important step towards implementing the economic strategy of the President of Turkmenistan, whose key aspect is to boost the domestic power sector’s generating capacity and export potential.

- I come to Turkmenistan for participation in various profile reviews with Gas Congress and International Exhibition and Conference Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2018 as the most important ones for five years. In addition to its direct purpose, these forums serves as a ground for presentation of the achievements and capabilities of Turkmenistan.

XXIII International Exhibition and Conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2018” (OGT 2018) organized by the State Concern Turkmenneft and Trade and Industrial Chamber has started work in the capital.

Profile conference with the participation of the delegates from USA, Europe, Asia, Middle East and CIS countries too place under international oil and gas exhibition. There were specialists of oil and gas industry, representatives of production facilities, scientific circles and other among them, around 500 delegates of 200 international and Government organizations as well as representatives of foreign companies, mass media and diplomatic missions of more than 40 countries altogether.

Turkmenistan delegation took part in International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference ADIPEC 2018 in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) on November 11 - 14. Bilateral meetings was organized under the forum. During the meetings, the sides exchanged the views on the main aspects of energy policy of our country, levels achieved in this sphere, work for implementation of the construction project of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India gas line.

Seminar dedicated to digital economy organized by the Acdemy of Sciences of our country and Representative Office of the United Nations Development Programme in Turkmenistan has started work in Yildyz Hotel of the capital.

Turkmenistan delegation made working visit to Japan. The delegation held the meetings with representatives of business structures of friendly country. During the talks, perspective directions of cooperation have been outlined. Companies specialized in oil and gas sphere expressed high interest in their presence in Turkmen market, which has recommended itself as reliable partner with all opportunities for productive work.

XXIII International Conference and Exhibition “Turkmenistan Oil and Gas 2018” will be held in Ashgabat on November 20 – 22.
