President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the president of Turkey’s Rönesans Holding, Erman Ilıcak.

The capital hosted presentation ceremonies of high state awards and badges on conferring of honoured titles to the best personnel of different branches of national economy, lead workers, staff of the ministries and departments and cultural workers who made big personal contribution to social and economic development of sovereign Turkmenistan and improvement of its international authority.

The capital’s Congress Hall hosted the gala concert dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the country’s independence.

For great personal contribution towards strengthening the independence, enhancement of the unity and cohesion, moral foundations of the Turkmen society; for ensuring the continuity of spiritual traditions; for merits in educating the emerging generation and the youth in a spirit of respect for national values, historical heritage, customs and traditions; taking into account the state and public activities, long years of diligent work, and to mark the 27th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree to confer the Zenan kalby Order on the following persons:

Opening ceremony of «Hezreti Omar» mosque was held in Parahat 7 living estate of the capital with the participation of the Mufti of Turkmenistan, imams of the velayats and Ashgabat as well as honoured elders, residents and guests of Turkmen capital.

The first session of the People’s Council chaired by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was held in the capital on the threshold of the 27th anniversary of independence. The agenda of National forum, which is remarkable event in life of the country, included the discussion of priority objectives of further development of Turkmen state and society.

On instructions from President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Mejlis Chairperson Gulshat Mammedova has received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland Marja Liivala.

In order to continue developing free market relations in the national economy of Turkmenistan, as well as to rationalize the cost of electricity, gas, housing and public utility services to the population of the country, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution, authorizing to abolish the free provision of electricity, gas, drinking water and table salt to the population starting from January 1, 2019.
