The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan jointly with the Italian Trade Agency organized a Turkmen-Italian business forum in Ashgabat.

Turkmen capital hosted the 17th Ministerial Conference of the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Programme. High-rank representatives of the countries of the CAREC Programme as well as Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, Islamic Development Bank, CAREC Institute, European Union, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Monetary Fund, the UN Development Programme took part in the session in Yildyz Hotel.

Let me extend my congratulations on the start of work of the 17th Ministerial Conference of the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation Programme “CAREC 2030: Building of Trade and Support of Diversification”, - the message of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov says. – Lets me express my gratitude to high-rank representatives of the states, ministers, heads and delegates of international organizations, all institute, which contribute to the implementation of the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation Programme (CAREC).

National transport strategy is based on the idea of restoration of the Silk Road initiated by the Head of the State. This route run across the territory of Central Asia for many centuries. Turkmen leader highlights that in modern conditions, this transcontinental route is to support the realization of considerable economic potential of Turkmenistan and other states of the region by their integration to the world transport system.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov receives President of the Asian Development Bank Takehiko Nakao.

On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil Márcia Donner Abreu.

For provision of reliable supply of power energy to consumers, financing of the construction of Ahal – Balkan and Balkan – Dashoguz high-voltage power lines, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution allowing the State Bank of Foreign Economic Affairs to undertake loan agreement of behalf of the beneficiary with the Asian Development Bank. The document assigns the State Energy Corporation “Turkmenenergo” of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan to enter into relevant local loan agreement with the Bank of Foreign Economic Affairs as well as allows concluding the Project Agreement with the Asian Development Bank.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
