The XIV Forum of Cultural and Scientific Personnel of the CIS will be held in Turkmen capital on May 15 – 16. As is known, the development of versatile cooperation including humanitarian and cultural contacts with the members of the Commonwealth of Independent States is one of priority directions of foreign policy of our country.

Turkmenistan was elected to the membership of the Executive Council of the World Food Programme for 2020 – 2022, the UN Population and Development Commission for 2020 – 2024 and the UN Narcotic Drugs Commission for 2020 – 2023 during the session of the UN Economic and Social Council on organizational issues on May 7, 2019.

Projects of expansion of trade network of Turkmen capital have been developed. It was informed to the Head of the State by Vice-premier Chary Gylyjov at the session of the Government on May 10.

Ashgabat will host regular session of Intergovernmental Coordination Council for seed production of the CIS on May 15 – 16, which is planned to be held according to the Concept of the chairing of Turkmenistan in the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having ordered the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Protection, administration of Balkan and Mary Velayat to provide the production of beetroot in the etraps of the above-mentioned velayats with application of scientifically grounded crop rotation according to agrotechnical requirements.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers where current objectives of the state life have been reviewed.

Turkmenistan hold celebration events of the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941 – 1945. Honouring of the veterans, those who, having deservingly performed their sacred duty, returned home as well as personnel of home front and soldiers’ widows has started in all parts of the country before the holiday.

A new apartment house was built in Dashoguz at the request of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan for the families of the employees. The four-storey building with 16 apartments was built by the specialists of an individual enterprise in the Novruz microdistrict.

The Victory Day is the greatest event that embodied the people’s aspiration for peace, friendship and fraternity, the triumph of humanism and goodness”, says the President of Turkmenistan in his congratulatory address.

Briefing with the participation of the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, representatives of foreign and national mass media for highlighting of the subjects related to the project of Altyn Asyr Turkmen Lake in Karakum Desert as well as cooperation of our country with specialized UN departments in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals was held in Serdar etrap, Balkan Velayat.
