The President of Turkmenistan signed a Ukase “On decorating with state awards in honor of International Women’s Day”.

On March 6, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan Mr. Yasushige Okimoto, who was completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

Last week, Culture Days of the Islamic Republic of Iran were held in the Turkmen capital, co-organized by the Cultural Center of the Iranian Embassy in Ashgabat and the Ministry of Culture of our country.

On March 5, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Army General Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov convened a meeting of the State Security Council to sum up outcomes of this year’s two-month activity of the military and law-enforcement bodies and define tasks for further improvement and strengthening of material and technical base of the agencies.

On the morning of March 3, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov went on a two-day official visit to the Republic of Turkey.

Our compatriots won seven medals (1– gold, 3 – silver, 3 – bronze) at the international traditional karate tournament, which ended in the city of Netanya (Israel).

Last week, the conference hall of the capital’s “Grand Turkmen” Hotel hosted a regional expert conference “Peace and Stability in Central Asia and Afghanistan: A view from neutral Turkmenistan”.
