Today, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Hajy Arkadag performed a festive prayer in commemoration of the beginning of Gurban bayramy in the mosque of spirituality of Turkmenbashi in Gypjak and familiarised with the course of construction of a mosque in Arkadag city where he gave Gurbanlyk-sadaka. The events that unfolded, including in the Turkmen capital of Ashgabat and in the city of Arkadag, were vivid evidence of the deep reverence of this sacred holiday by our people. Gurban bayramy has increased the spirit of celebration and solidarity of the Turkmen people. This was another clear confirmation of the inviolability of the centuries-old traditions of our ancestors, which are carefully preserved in the modern epoch.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent condolences to President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in connection with the terrorist attack that occurred in Balochistan province, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.
