On behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov sent a message of deep condolences to the Chairman of the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba, Raul Castro Ruz on the occasion of the demise of his brother Fidel Castro Ruz, the former Chairman of the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba.

As was noted in the message, Fidel Castro, as a prominent politician, is a remarkable example of courage and concern for all the peoples both in his country and abroad. The blessed memory of him will always live in the hearts of the present and future generations.

The Turkmen leader conveyed words of sincere sympathy and support to the families, relatives and friends of the deceased, as well as to all the people of the Republic of Cuba.
