President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Warmly greeting each other, the leaders of two states exchange congratulations and best wishes on occasion of Eid al Adha. Having noted that this holiday, which is based on the principles of humanity, embodies goodwill and high spiritual and moral values, the sides expressed confidence that Eid Al Adha would give new stimuli to further strengthening of understanding and mutual heal in Muslim world.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that the Republic of Turkey is fraternal state for Turkmenistan, cooperation with which has long-term and strategic character.

During the conversation, the sides have noted with delight that Turkmen – Turkish friendly relations receive new content at present time and implementation of joint projects supports to better interstate dialog.

Turkey is one of the countries, with which Turkmenistan successfully develops trade and economic relations, the Leader of the Nation said, having focused on importance of using significant potential for expansion of productive relations in this direction and rendering relative support to each other if it is necessary.

Having confirmed the commitment of two countries to unbreakable fraternal relations, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan noted that all efforts would be put for further strengthening of interstate relations.

Discussing current issues of regional and global agenda, the sides have spoken of the coronavirus pandemic.

Having highlighted that Turkmenistan supports the efforts of the world community in combating of spread of this dangerous infection, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that efforts of all countries have to be consolidated for achievement of specific results.

In this regard, Turkmen leader confirmed invariable willingness of our country to cooperate in development of new methods in this direction.

Continuing the subject and having expressed gratitude to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for special attention of personal contribution to strengthening of interstate relations, the President of Turkmen state expressed gratitude for provided support and medical appliances and personal protective equipment sent to our country. the Head of the State noted that this fact is considered as a symbol of unbreakable friendship between two countries.

In the end of the conversation, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan exchanged congratulations on Eid Al Adha, having wished health and success to each other and peace and prosperity to people of two countries.
