Vice-premier, Head of Turkmenistan Foreign Ministry Rashid Meredov had a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Canada François-Philippe Champagne.
During the conversation, the sides have shared the opinions on current situation related to coronavirus pandemic and countermeasures of its spread. At the same time, mutual willingness to coordinate activities has been highlighted.
Economic and social impacts of coronavirus pandemic were the subjects of discussion. In this context, importance of joint efforts for rapid and effective response to modern challenges has been highlighted.
The heads of the Foreign Ministries have also exchanged the views on perspectives of Turkmen – Canadian cooperation in political and diplomatic sphere, having noted the importance of its activation.
On the same day, Vice-premier, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had online talks with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy Manlio di Stefano.
Counter measures against COVID-19 have been discussed during video conference. At the same time, mutual willingness for cooperation has been highlighted.
During the talks, the sides have exchange the views on implementation of agreements in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
As is known, 37 bilateral documents aimed at expansion of Turkmen – Italian dialog in all range of directions have been signed during the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Italy in November 2019.
The sides have expressed mutual interest in intensification of collaboration between foreign departments of two countries.
