Collection of Turkmenistan was supplemented with gold medal on the final day of International Solidarity Weightifting championship in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).

Competing in the weight category above 109kg, coach of the 7th Mary sport weightlifting school of the General Department of Sports and Youth Affiars of Mary Velayat johamuhammed Toychiyev won gold medal with the result 411 in two disciplines. At the same time, he was the best in sntach (180 kg) and in clean and jerk, havig lifted 231 kg.

On the day before, Turkmenistan weightlifters have brought one silver and two bronze medals to the collection of the team.

Competing in the weight category of 87 kg, coach of the 5th sport weightlifting school of the General Department of Sports and Youth Affairs of Mary Velayat Aysoltan Toychiyeva has won silver medal, having lifted 203 kg in two disciplines. At the same time, athlete from Turkmenistan was the second in the snatch and clean and jerk.
3rd grade student of Turkmen State institute of Physical Training and Sport Rustem Annadurdiyev and 4th grade student of the same institute Pirguly Pirguliyev have brought two bronze medals to collection of Turkmenistan National team.
Competing in the weight category of 81 kg, R. Annadurdiyev won the bronze, having lifted 224 kg in two disciplines while Pirguly has become bronze prize winner in the weight category of 89 kg.
Turkmen sportsmen have started collecting medals on February 10, when three medals 91 silver and 2 bronze) were won by Yuludz Jumabayeva in the weight category of 49 kg, Seyitjan Mirzayev (61 kg) and Cristina Shermetova (55 kg).

The result of Turkmen weightlifting team at Internatioanl Solidarity Weightliftign Championship in the capital of Uzbekistan is seven different medals inclduign one gold. By the results of the competitions, the best sportsmen will receive important rating scores and the right to take part in the main sport competitions – 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Japan.
