Turkmenistan for the first five months of 2017 demonstrates high rates of economic growth. Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Finance B.Hojamammedov reported this at a government meeting.
According to him, for January-May this year the country's GDP increased by 6.3 percent, including an increase in the industrial sector of 2.9 percent, construction - 4.1, transport and communication sector - 10.8, trade - 9.5, agriculture - 3.6 and in the service sector - 10.2 percent.
Compared with the same period in 2016, overall production has increased by 3.7 percent and the average monthly salary increased by 9.1 percent.
The revenue part of the State Budget for January-May was executed at the level of 6.43 billion manat, and the expenditure part - 6.40 billion manat. Wages, state allowances, pensions and scholarships were paid in full.
At the governmental meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov gave instructions on the privatization of enterprises, their transformation into joint-stock companies, as well as the creation of new jobs.
