Turkmen masters of kickboxing have excellently performed in the large international tournament in the capital of Latvia - Riga. Practitioners of honoured coach of Turkmenistan, chief instructor of the national team Alexander Snagovsky have secured 29 medals, 16 of which gold, eight - silver and five - bronze for the sports achievements of the country.
Turkmen fighters won first place in the total team score in discipline "full-contact", having secured in this version nine gold, three silver and one bronze awards.
To the higher step of the podium as a part of our team have risen: Nurmuhammet Ataev (under 54 kg), Ramin Kasymov (under 57 kg), Said Fakirov (under 81 kg), Ylham Geldimammedov (over 91 kg), Aygul Babayeva (under 50 kg), Sayara Bahramova (under 52 kg), Farida Kutlimyradova (under 56 kg), Bibinabat Charyeva (under 63,5 kg) and Gulzada Charykulyeva (under 65 kg).
Silver medals were won by Aynabat Jumamyradova (under 50 kg), Aygozel Kurbangeldieva (under 52 kg) and Selbi Kulysheva (under 60 kg), and "bronze" – by Hajimyrat Geldimammedov (under 75 kg).
Almost all above mentioned kickboxerxs also distinguished in category К-1 in which they won five gold, as many silver and four bronze awards. One more "gold" was secured in discipline «Light contact» by Silab Silabov (under 57 kg).
Thanks to the qualitative work of heads and trainers of the national federation of kickboxing, from tournament to tournament the level of preparation of Turkmen sportsmen who should compete for awards of the 5th Asian indoor and martial arts games, grows.
