Last week, the capital’s “Sergi Köşgi” Expo Center hosted an International Building Exhibition and a Conference, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This year, 125 exponents participated in the sectoral exhibition in the “Sergi Köşgi” Expo Center. 107 of them were foreign companies from many countries of the world, such as Russia, Turkey, Switzerland, India, Iran, the UAE, Ukraine, and others. Among exhibitors were branch departments, enterprises of the building materials industry, local and foreign construction firms.
The exhibition stands describing the many-sided activity of departments of the Ministry of Construction and the “Turkmenavtoyollary” State Concern were of particular interest to foreign specialists.
Our country’s private construction sector was represented by the following companies: “Веýik Bina”, “Ussat inžener”, “Aga gurluşyk”, “Berk ýol”, and many others. Their stands displayed information about the large-scale projects realized by now and the ones to be implemented.
Foreign companies, manufacturers of building and finishing materials, special purpose equipment such as “Вosch”, “Mammut Building Systems”, “Buig”, “Betek”, “Swiss Pearl”, “Bhushan Steel”, “Aksapark”, and others presented their expositions as well.
The stands of foreign companies showed their readiness to offer Turkmenistan their know-how in designing and structure erection, interior design, creation of parks and construction of sports complexes. Suppliers of electric systems for buildings and water fittings, manufacturers of equipment for children’s playgrounds and sports areas, as well as innovative roofing and heat insulating materials also showcased their products.
A variety of modern building materials, ranging from cement and metal construction to window systems and ceramic bathroom fittings were on display. Every manufacturer made an effort to showcase their most significant developments and know-how to have an advantage over their business rivals.
The exhibition stands of the companies specializing in security and lighting systems, which are highly acclaimed in road construction, were in the center of attention, given the large-scale projects ongoing in the country aimed to create supermodern transport infrastructure. Today, hundreds of kilometers of highways, bridges, overpasses, interchanges – the projects, which require special knowledge and innovative technologies, are under construction in the country. Construction and specialized machinery and equipment were displayed at open areas of the capital’s Expo Center.
Prospects for development of the capital, dynamically growing cities and villages were shown by models of would-be different-purpose objects and the ones currently under construction, ranging from large office complexes to supermodern multilevel road interchanges, which will be built soon at intersections of the Turkmen capital’s important transport arteries. For many years, large thematic exhibitions in Ashgabat have been presenting opportunities to take a note of and widely introduce the most advanced achievements in our country, make use of leading world experience in key sectors.
A conference, organized in the frames of the representative forum in the “Sergi Köşgi” Expo Center, brought together representatives of sectoral departments, local and foreign companies, building experts and specialists from many countries of the world.
The conference mainly focused on new technologies in the construction industry, prospects for cooperation in this sphere, as well as priority trends of building materials production in the light of realization of larger and larger projects. Special consideration was given to innovative architectural solutions and building materials, their role in antiseismic construction.
The reports made at the forum provided its participants with detailed information about the current state and prospects for further development of the country’s construction industry. The issues of road construction and communal services, development of urban infrastructure, provision of favorable living conditions in urban and rural areas, advanced experience in the field were also under discussion.
Having outlined the construction industry’s short-term prospects, the conference presented an opportunity to foreign partners to become closely acquainted with Turkmenistan and establish cooperation in one of the national economy’s most dynamically developing sectors.
The sectoral exposition in the capital’s Expo Center has become an important negotiation-favored ground for establishing fruitful partnership with leading companies engaged in the construction sector.
The three-day exhibition offered its visitors an opportunity to become acquainted with the state and prospects of the multi-aspect investment and construction activity in Turkmenistan, and showcased the success of the steps taken in Turkmenistan, which predetermined the sector’s dynamic development.
