Last week, on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan A.Nurberdyeva accepted credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ghana to Turkmenistan Mr. Mr. Alhaji Bawah Gilbert Ayembillah.
The Ambassador was acquainted with key aspects of Turkmenistan’s development strategy in the modern epoch. As was noted, the main goal of the Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov-initiated reform-oriented programs is to ensure successful socio-economic development of the Turkmen state, improvement of living standards of Turkmen nationals. The plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Ghana was also informed about the multifaceted activity and institutional structure of the Mejlis.
In the frames of opinions exchange on the prospects of the interstate interaction advancing, the interlocutors noted that despite geographical remoteness, the two countries possess wide opportunities for development of mutually beneficial cooperation. Collaboration in the trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian fields was sorted out as the top cooperation priorities. Considered was also the proposal on establishing direct inter-parliamentary relations.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ghana was also received in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss the two countries’ cooperation-favored opportunities.
