On July1, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov convened a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to consider the topical issues of state life, implementation progress of the national programs, as well as the drafts of some official documents.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of foreign affairs of Turkmenistan R.Meredov reported on the preparations for a working visit of the President-headed delegation of our country to New-York city (USA) to participate in the 70th jubilee session of UN General Assembly.
In this connection, the vice-premier, MFA head reported on the Turkmenistan’s priority positions and initiatives developed proceeding from the country’s foreign policy major trends which will be voiced at the 70th session of UN General Assembly. As was underlined, all the proposals of Turkmen side submitted for consideration of the UN are directed to further enhancement of the constructive international partnership which meet the interest of peace, security and sustainable development in the regional and global dimensions.
Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan A.Nurberdyeva informed on the activity of the parliament on the country’s legislation system further improvement.
The head of the national parliament also informed about the implementation course of works aimed at renovation and redevelopment of the buildings in Abadan etrap of the capital.
Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A.Gochyev reported on the state of affairs in the sectors under his supervision. The vice-premier informed about the work on improving the auditing activities. As was noted, in accordance with a new version of the Law of Turkmenistan “On auditing” adopted in November 2014, organizations of the financial-economic system are preparing the Regulations on licensing the auditing businesses with a glance to the international experience and the peculiarities of national economy.
Further Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers M.Yazmuhammedova presented her report on the state of affairs of the sector under her supervision and on the July program of opening and laying foundation of the construction projects, and holding the cultural events devoted to the significant dates.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A.Yazmyradov reported on the current indices and course of work in the agricultural complex, in particular, on the progress of the wheat harvesting campaign.
The report also covered the measures developed at increasing the production volumes of vegetable and gourds, melons and water melons. Besides, consideration was given to the preparations progress for the forum devoted to the water resources rational use and management to be held soon in the capital with participation of the companies of the Republic of Korea.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers S.Toilyev reported on the state of affairs in the sectors under his supervision. Special emphasis in the report was placed on the development of measures for preventing negative impacts on the people’s health of the by-now steady-state hot weather. So, with a view of organizing efficient prevention of different diseases, including infectious ones, the relevant medical-sanitary and control measures as well as explanatory work among the population are being carried out. Not the least significant is to attach special attention to protection of children’s health, including supply of children’s health centres with fresh and quality foodstuffs, with the remedies reducing the impact of heat. This and many other measures are envisaged by the specially developed action program.
Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Hojamuhammedov reported on the activity of the sectors under his supervision, as well as on fulfilment of the earlier presidential commissions. Within the report, the vice –premier also informed on the results of meetings with Japanese businessmen who paid a working visit to Turkmenistan on June 27-28 led by the State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.
Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Ereshov reported on the state of affairs in the sectors under his supervision, as well as on the activities carried out to develop the industrial infrastructure of the country, introduce the leading world experience and innovative technologies in the sector to unleash its export potential.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers S.Satlykov reported on the state of affairs in the sphere he is answerable to, fulfilment of the earlier presidential instructions on introducing advanced technologies in the transport and communications complex, increasing the cargo and passenger traffic, modernizing the communications sector in accordance with requirements of the time. As was informed, the program is successfully realized on the efficient use of transit potential of motor and railway lines running via the country’s territory.
The vice-premier also informed on the activity aimed at ensuring good recreation and summer holidays of the children in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone. Backed by the slides, the report was a visual presentation of new projects of the resort infrastructure ready to be commissioned: a park with attractions “Alemgoshar” (against the order of the Ministry of Nature Protection); park “Dengizmerjeni” (against the order of the State Tourism Committee; a park “Jadyly kenar” (State Sea and River Transport Service of Turkmenistan); a multilevel car parking ground (the khyakimlik of Balkan velayat).
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Manager of Affairs of the Administration of the President of Turkmenistan and Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Sh. Durdylyev reported on the state of affairs in the sectors under his supervision, as well as on the fulfilment of planned works in the frames of the Ashgabat Redevelopment Program.
Reporting on the state of affairs in the sectors under his supervision, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M.Artykov informed about the actions on strengthening the energy sector’s material-technical base, creating the import-substituting manufacturing facilities.
The vice-premier informed on the practical measures taken for ensuring safety of road traffic on the Turkmenabshi-Farap and Ashgabat-Dashoghuz highways and bridges. He also reported on the work carried out in the frames of the training education programs intended for the personnel of the energy sector, in particular, introduction of new disciplines in higher educational institutions of the country.
The leader of nation approved the proposal on introducing a new discipline – «Technology of production of electric and thermal energy» - in the curriculum of the Turkmen State Energy Institute to train the demand-driven specialists for the power plant to be built in the territory of the Mary State Power Plant. In this connection, the leader of nation gave to vice-premiers M.Artykov and S.Toilyev the issue-related instructions.
Turning to the topic of ensuring safety of road traffic on the highways of the country, the head of state approved the draft Resolution on purchasing the metallic fences.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers P.Taganov reported on the state of affairs in the sectors under his supervision and fulfilment of the earlier presidential commissions on improvement of the performance of the trade and service sector. The vice-premier also reported on the measures for the most efficient use of raw materials and development of manufacturing capacities of the country.
In this connection, given the ever-growing volumes and assortment of the export-oriented goods, the vice-premier informed on the measures taken to seek new markets and export-favored methods for advancing local goods, as well as on reconsideration of customs duties on the imported goods.
Other important issues of state life were also considered at the session, and the relevant decisions were adopted.
