On June 29, a telephone talk was held between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
Greeting the President of Turkmenistan, the Russian leader extended warm and heartfelt congratulations to President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on his birthday and wished him sound health, prosperity and new outstanding success in his large-scale activity on the highest state post.
Truly grateful for congratulations and good wishes, the nation’s leader welcomed the high level of traditionally friendly interstate relations based on the principles of constructivism, equitable and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Pending the subject, the heads of two states exchanged views on key aspects of the Turkmen-Russian partnership. In this regard, a positive dynamics was noted of the bilateral cooperation at the regional level, as well as productivity of collaboration in the humanitarian sphere regarded as an important component of the Turkmen-Russian relations. Thereupon, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov and President Vladimir Putin spoke in favor of further motivating the longstanding traditional scientific-educational and cultural contacts between the two countries.
During the conversation, the sides also exchanged views on a set of pressing regional and international topics of mutual interest.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, the Turkmen leader reconfirmed invitation to his Russian colleague to visit Turkmenistan to participate in the International conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of our country’s status of permanent neutrality to be held in this year’s December in Ashgabat.
In conclusion, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov and President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that the traditional inter-state dialogue would continue to develop successfully and become filled in with new content. The Presidents also conveyed best wishes to the peoples of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
