President of Turkmenistan conducted a working meeting in the format of videoconferencing

On April 16, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov conducted a working video-selector meeting with participation of khyakims of velayats and some Cabinet Deputies Chairman.
First speaker, Akhal velayat khyakim M. Nurmammedov reported on the state of affairs in the region, and the implementation course of the cotton sowing campaign, the works under way at sites of the objects under construction, as well as on the projected wheat production volume.

After the report, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov drew attention of the khyakim to the necessity of taking effective measures to conduct the cotton sowing campaign as scheduled and in accordance with agrotechnical standards. Having highlighted that there was little time left before the start of the wheat harvesting campaign, the head of state assigned to properly prepare for the season. It is necessary to ensure full readiness of combine harvesters, motor transport, as well as grain elevators and granaries, the nation’s leader demanded.

Next speaker, Balkan velayat khyakim B. Hojamammedov informed about the works carried out in the region’s farmlands.

Having concentrated on the agrotechnical measures, first of all, tending of wheat crops, and preparations for the wheat harvesting campaign, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov expressed dissatisfaction with the extremely slow progress of the important agricultural campaign in the region. There is a need to take adequate measures to efficiently conduct the campaign, the head of state stressed, having commissioned to keep the organizational issues of preparing agri-machinery, as well as granaries and grain elevators under strict control.

Dashoguz velayat khyakim E. Orazgeldiev centered his video report on the situation in the region, the fulfillment of earlier presidential instructions, including on the implementation course of the National Rural Development Program, the practical measures taken to ensure efficient organization of cotton sowing, handling of grain crops, as well as the preparations for the upcoming wheat harvesting.

Summing up the report, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov noted the need to organize the works under way in the velayat’s agricultural sector in compliance with present-day requirements. Among the top priority tasks, the head of Turkmen state mentioned supplying cotton growers and other tenant farmers with everything necessary, as well as taking appropriate measures to conduct the sowing campaign in accordance with agrotechnical standards.

The leader of nation placed special emphasis on the importance of qualitative and timely completion of the construction projects, and gave the khyakim a number of issue-associated assignments.

Drawing attention to the issues of efficient organization of the upcoming campaign, the head of state instructed to ensure control over the readiness state of agri-machinery, motor transport, grain elevators and granaries.

The implementation of all planned measures at a high level is one of the main conditions for ensuring abundance of agricultural products, the head of state stressed. Having noted the significance of taking all measures for the well-organized spring field works, the leader of nation gave the khyakim a number of concrete instructions.

Then, the head of Turkmen state invited Cabinet Deputy Chairman A. Yazmyradov for direct video communication. The Vice-Premier informed about the state of affairs in the agro-industrial complex, as well as the course of preparations for Turkmen Horse Day.

Highlighting the significance of timely tackling the issues connected with the successful conduct of the upcoming agricultural campaign, the President of Turkmenistan pointed out the necessity of keeping the agrotechnical measures under control. Having demanded to take a comprehensive approach to the work, the leader of nation gave a number of issue-related instructions to the Vice-Premier. The head of state also noted the importance of holding the upcoming festivities in honor of Turkmen Horse Day at a better and higher level in terms of organization and content.

Some other important issues of state life were considered at the meeting, and the appropriate resolutions were adopted.
