“Cordially congratulate you on the Day of Constitution of Turkmenistan and the State Flag of Turkmenistan”, says President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressing the compatriots.

“The Constitution and the State Flag are the symbols of our inviolable unity, cohesion, the unfailing commitment to the high humanist ideals, peacefulness and creativity. The Constitution that has embodied the national concepts of the democracy, the legal and secular state, the fair civil society, peace, humanism, and the highly flaunting State flag as the symbol of friendship and humanity are our national pride. To enhance the prestige of the country, the Monument of Constitution and the square of Flag were erected in Ashgabat, and the squares were laid in velayat centres and in the Avaza National tourism zone, where the Flag of our Motherland waves on the high flagpoles”, says the President of Turkmenistan.

“We deeply respect the Constitution and the State Flag Day as a remarkable date that unites the people and increase its creative energy. The conferences and cultural events are held all around the country in honour of this holiday to emphasize the significance of the national development programmes, the achievements of the internal and foreign policy, and the reforms taken place in all spheres of the state and public life.

“Based on the humanistic provisions of the Main Law that guarantees the protection of the people’s rights and freedoms, we are creating the new history of Turkmenistan under our green Flag. We successfully implement the ambitious programmes and reforms with the aim to bring the country up to the level of highly-developed states in the world, and, first of all, to ensure the peaceful, happy and safe life of our people.

“We consolidate the basic concepts of our democratic, law-governed and secular state. The high paces of construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, the highways with the use of the advanced technologies, the apartment houses with improved conditions, hotels, health-improving and entertainment centres, kindergartens, secondary schools, centres of culture, industrial enterprises in the regions and the capital vividly exemplify the achievements of our country”, says the President in his address.

“Following the main principles and objectives of the status of positive neutrality that was recognized by the world community and embodied in the Constitution, we consistently increase the international authority of Turkmenistan as an independent state that relies on the principles of the constructive neutrality, peacefulness and good-neighborly relations. We consistently enhance the political, economic and cultural ties with the countries all around the world and such authoritative international structures as the United Nations Organisation, the European Union, the Community of Independent States, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Nonaligned Movement and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.

“The adoption of special Resolutions at the sessions of the United Nations General Assembly, as well as the announcement of the World Bicycle Day on June on the initiative of Turkmenistan testify to the world community's high assessment of our neutrality and the principles of peacefulness and good-neighborliness. A large-scale goal will continue to be the strengthening of the role of our democratic, legal and secular state in the global development”, said the President of Turkmenistan in his address.
