Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Legislation and Its Norms, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Meets with Voters

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov consistently calls on elected officials – members of the National Parliament – to actively engage with voters in different constituencies, stay aware of their needs, day-to-day concerns and problems to be able help them tackle these issues, promote improvement of social and living conditions, actively involve them into public affairs, enhance their legal and political culture.

Thus, a meeting between voters and the chair of the parliamentary committee on legislation and its norms, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has recently taken place in Dushak village of Kaka districts of Ahal province.

The MP has extended to the attendees his greetings with the upcoming New Year and has wished them good health, well-being and success. He has briefed the voters on short-term tasks, particularly, on works held under programs for reforms in Kaka district. They include a capital reconstruction of existing buildings and educational institutions; construction of new comfortable dwelling houses; various social and industrial facilities. Moreover, the agenda provides for the construction of a textile factory, kindergartens and a maternity hospital. Implementation of these plans will generate additional employment.

Attendees of the meeting have addressed their questions to the MP and expressed their proposals and suggestions. The speakers have specifically stressed that the policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is aimed at improving the quality of people’s life, ensuring economic growth and social progress, and enhancing our country’s international profile.

As highlighted at the meeting, Turkmenistan has created an effective national model of development where the principles of state building intertwine with protection of human rights and freedoms, development of potential of civil institutions. The slogan, “The state is for the people”, fully reflects the social orientation of the policy pursued by the head of state.

The speakers were delighted to note that they had elected a worthy representative of their constituency to the National Parliament of Turkmenistan. He has earned the trust by meeting and talking to the local people, taking interest in their life and ways, listening to and taking into consideration their requests and suggestions.

Attendees of the meeting have expressed their sincere gratitude to their MP for helping resolve urgent social issues that is evidenced by the recent commissioning of a specialized medical complex for disease prevention and several other objects in Dushak village.
